The 4 Standing Committees oversee the some of the core functions of the Union and are made up of members elected from amongst students involved in the activities for which they are responsible. Each one is chaired by a student who is elected to the position in a cross-campus ballot at the same time as Student Officers and Working Group Chairs. The Chair of each Standing Committee also sits on Student Assembly to make sure that Union policy contributes to and supports their activities. 

Sports Federation Committee

This Standing Committee is responsible for overseeing the development of all sports clubs within the Union. This includes things like setting the budget of the sports clubs alongside the Vice-President Student Activities, looking at ways of increasing participation in sports at both social and comptetitve level, and also promoting diversity of sports clubs and the students who are members of them. Societies Guild Committee

This Standing Committee is responsible for overseeing the development of all student societies within the Union. This includes setting the budgets of all societies alongside the Vice-President Student Activities. The Committee also looks at ways of increasing awareness of and participation in  societies on campus whilts also promoting diversity of societies and the students who are members of them. Media Association Committee

This Standing Commitee is responsible for overseeing and organising the content and production of both Le NURB and University Radio Brunel. The Committee works to co-ordinate student writers and radio presenters, ensuring the diversity of content and students involved. RAG Team Committee

This Standing Committee is responsible for organising and co-ordinating the Union's charity work. The Committee is in charge charitable events and fundraising activities within the student body and the wider community, and selects the charities that the Union will be supporting over the year.
