Home of the society for Mechanical Engineers
The aim of EQ8 is to improve the links between Brunel’s Mech Eng students and the industrial world through visits and presentations by some of engineering’s top names.
In 2012/13 we’ll be hoping to make visits to Cameron, Astrium and Crown packaging amongst others.
With competition for both jobs and placements getting tougher and tougher, these visits and talks will give you a foot in the door by giving you the opportunity to meet with industry professionals and learn about different aspects of different jobs.
But fear not potential members, it’s not all business. This year we have several drunken escapades planned including a Christmas party in the last week of term, a NSS Party introducing all of you to the world of Gradcracker, an end of year party in Face week as well as a series of loud and lairy pub crawls, so whether you’re in it for the work or the party this is the place to be!
