OT Week 2014 Fun Afternoon

OT Week 2014 Fun Afternoon

Come along to our afternoon of Occupational Therapy related fun, games and quizzes!

OT week is a national week to promote and raise awareness of the Occupational Therapy profession.

Occupational therapy enables people to achieve health, well-being and life satisfaction through participation in occupation.

For our OT week 2014 afternoon we shall:

  • introduce you to equipment occupational therapists can use to promote independence.
  • enourage you to think about how to reduce dependance on equipment.
  • show you how life can feel from a different perspective.
  • have you take part in a living with disability exercise where you can use wheelchairs or vision obscuring glasses around campus.
  • ask you to complete a one-handed task using your non-dominant hand (decorating a cookie is harder than it sounds!)
  • and many more activities.

We hope that you can attend, even if not for the entire time. Please bring friends and family of any ages with you, all activities can be modified for safety.

If you cannot attend or would like to know more about what OT is then please go to the BAOT/COT YouTube channel or browse http://www.cot.co.uk/
