Committee Positions
CHAIRWOMAN
Main Responsibilities:
- To chair committee meetings and oversee the running of the club.
- To organise coaches for the season and training slots.
- Organise Fresher fayre stall and marketing and advertisement of the club during fresher week.
- To have regular meeting with the director of sports, student activities, coaches and captains.
- To complete risk assessment forms and development forms.
- To achieve the aims of the clubs development plan.
- To organise and run open days for potential netball players.
Other:

- Attend sports federation committee meetings.
VICE-CHAIR
Main Responsibilities:
- To support the chair and help oversee the running of the club.
- To chair committee meetings in the absence of the chairwoman
- To organise, and oversee the running of the NPP and NDP
- Help with the Organisation of Fresher fayre, and marketing and advertisement of the club during fresher week.
- To have regular meeting with the director of sports, student activities, coaches and captains.
- To achieve the aims of the clubs development plan
- To organise pre-season training.

CLUB CAPTIAN
Main Responsibilities:
- Chairs right hand man
- Open day session- book court, find people for demo session.
- Freshers Fayre- sign up sheets for trials.
- Trials- confirm courts, posters, time slots,
- pump up balls, bibs, umpires, order of play, numbers, numbers sticky labels, contact details for everyone who gets in.
- Organise friendlies (with coaches) court bookings and umpires. Court bookings go through James Abbott at student activities.
- Find out captains make them keyholders for the netball cupboard, until them committee from each of the squads so you can get balls out for training.
- Find out preferences for match times from the coaches 1st get priority then 2nds etc.
- Book umpires in for matches, Liz and Pat are heroes and I would recommend booking them in for 3rds-6ths team for the whole season then just confirm them weekly, they bum brunel so we are their first choice. 1sts and 2nds is a little more difficult may have to book them in weekly. Expect last minute cancellations and teams moaning about the quality of umpiring there isn’t anything you can do- just don’t panic. If by the Monday morning before the Wednesday game you haven’t got anyone go see James Abbott as he can contact the other team and they cant play under protest if they have been told 48 hours before.

SECRETARY
Main Responsibilities:
- Taking detailed and accurate minutes.
- Send out agendas.
- Club emails

TREASURER
Main Responsibilities:
- Encourage/ remind people to buy sports federation card/ membership fees/ match fees.
- Hassle people to pay fees!!
- Set a deadline for fees- no pay no play! Let coaches know who still needs to pay.
- Cant play matches without a sports federation card- you are not insured without it and can result in fines from BUCS.
- Organising umpire fees for matches.
- Sign coaches timesheets or invoices.
- Look after the accounts, watch our spending.
- Think about fundraising and sponsorship.

SOCIAL SECRETARY
Main Responsibilities:
- Getting everyone from the club involved! Extra contact with 5ths and 6ths as we see them less.
- Annual socials- ribbon night, pink night, Cave team social, mini tour reunion, Christmas dinner, sports federation ball, tour reunion, annual dinner.
- Book venues for dinners, collect money, sort decorations.
- Pink night- MASSIVE PROMO, posters, flyers, table outside atrium, decorations, committee outfits, PROMO, pink cocktail in locos, pre social, PROMO.
- Tour reunions- coordinate with tour rep.
- Sports fed ball massive PROMO.
- Did I mention PROMO
- Facebook is best, club email, webmail and minisite.

WEB AND PRESS OFFICER
Main Responsibilities:
- Attend minisite training session and get administration permission
- Update and maintain website regularly.
- Super minisites can win minisite of the month nationwide…kinda a big deal!! Also there is minisite of the year at sports fed…also kinda big time
- Things to include- team profiles, committee profiles, Saturday team info, fixtures and results, league tables, match reports, kit info, event and social info, tour info, photos, charity, banter page, minutes, training, coach info, useful links, create a Skin make it look super.
- Be creative! Let us know what you need from us to put on the website.
- If you can get an announcement on brunelstudents homepage union pretty much bum it when coming to awards.
- Articles in the le nurb- anything exciting we do- pink night, matches, charity get it in there they are always looking for articles.
- Hassle captains for match reports.
- Send out club emails.

Main Responsibilities:
- Netball’s bitch
- Lend a helping hand to basically anything and everything netball, socials, collecting money, tour, promo etc.

TOUR REP
Main Responsibilities:
- Find potential mini tour venues discuss with committee and decide.
- PROMO to WHOLE club!
- Organise accommodation, tournament, night out, travel, costings etc.
- Fancy dress and tour tops.
- Collect money.
- Lead court- megaphone is necessary.
- Mini tour reunion
- Attend big tour meetings with union, feedback to committee.
- PROMO to club, remind payments

CHARITY REP
Main Responsibilities:
- Any opportunity to get the shakers out go nuts!
- Freshers week- normally something on the quad to raise money like a shootathon- but be creative can do anything you fancy, just promo take the breakthrough and shooting stars stuff out!
- PINK NIGHT- sell glowsticks, breakthrough stuff, sweets anything to raise money. Decide how much of profit goes to charity!
- RAG tournament- book space in sports hall, PROMO, entry fee.
- FACE event- anything you like normally related to current issues.
- Easter egg donation- to Hillingdon manor school for autistic children.
- Anything else you fancy: calendar, cake sales, events!!
- Aim for RAG club of the year- judged on number of events and how much money is raised per person of club.

KIT REP
Main Responsibilities:
- Find ideas for committee kit- what you want potentials and costings.
- Round prices up to nearest pound to help raise money for club.
- Set up a shop on ADM website
- Can hire dresses from student activities if people don’t want to buy
- Warm up tops are the only compulsory item
- Also responsible for training balls and bibs, and match day bags.
- Make sure all balls are pumped up for training and matches!

SATURDAY TEAM MANAGER
Main Responsibilities:
- PROMO at start of the year, posters at freshers fayre, catch the ones who don’t make it into 5ths and 6ths, but its open to anyone and everyone.
- Sort out affiliations with James Abbott
- Find teams each week
- Find umpires
- Sort out transport
- Kit bag

COACHING SCHEME COORDINATOR
Main Responsibilities:
- PROMO get people involved, not just for netballers approach QTS/ sports science students.
- Liaise with brunel volunteers
- High-5 taster session for level 1s.
- Find out who is interested in doing this course.
- Find out when the coaching and umpiring course start and where they are.
- Communication with people that are doing the course from last year
- Get level two involved with lord mayors fund.
- Collecting money for the courses.

CLUB ADVISOR
Main Responsibilities:
- To support and mentor new committee members
