Following the departure of Danny O'Sullivan from the post after nearly 9 years the UBS has after a very robust recruitment process with a very high calibre of candidates, appointed a new Chief Executive Officer - Craig Lithgow.
Craig is well known to the Union and the Brunel Community having held the Union post of Director of Operations since 2004.
"I am really pleased to have been given this opportunity" said Craig, " Particularly at this time of change in the funding relationship in Higher Education. I think this will be a crucial few years for Students' Unions as the level of expectation and representational needs of their memberships change and Unions adapt to ensure they remain as strong and relevant as ever. I am proud and privileged to be able to lead the UBS team through these challenging but exciting times."
UBS President and Chair of Trustees Promise Phillips commented “I was really happy to announce Craig as the clear strongest candidate and under his leadership I am confident the challenges of 2012 will be met with clear resilience, allowing us to build on the success and excellence that are at the foundations of our Union."
