The Communications Department is responsible for ensuring that all of our services and activities are proactively communicated to our members and key stakeholders. The department leads on promotional activity and communication for the Academy, Loco’s, the ARC, Student Activities, Officer Campaigns, Freshers Week, FACE, One World Week, Elections, Student Reps and anything else the Union is involved in. We are responsible for Brunelstudents.com, all UBS Social Networking, Global Emails and printed material.
As part of our Strategic Plan we are committed to providing personal development opportunities for our membership, and as such we are offering placement roles within the Communications Department. In a small and friendly organisation you will be a key member of the team, the role will enable you to work with a broad range of people across a range of projects. You may find yourself leading on branding for Freshers Week, or planning a cross campus campaign.
We’re heading into an exciting year for Communications, with our Communications Strategy currently being developed. This year will change the way UBS thinks about Communications, with projects such as the redevelopment of Brunelstudents.com already lined up for the year.
