Ensuring Students Are Heard

The Chair is responsible for leading Assembly meetings, and ensuring everyone in attendance has an opportunity to be heard with in the meeting. This is a very important role as the Chair is also responsible for ensuring that the meetings run on time, and that a fair and balanced debate takes place on all items up for discussion.

Student Assembly are at the core of our democracy and is where important decisions are made regarding the focus and work of the Union. Members of student assembly create, oversee and vote on Union policies and motions, they hold our officers to account, and are involved in Union campaigns and development.
