Salary: £26,389 per year (inclusive of London weighting)

What You’ll Do
- Champion Team Brunel – Be the voice of sport, working with our Student Activities Team and Brunel Sport to help teams shine, push for better facilities, and make sport more inclusive.
- Promote Wellbeing – Lead campaigns to support mental health and wellbeing, including initiatives like Active@Brunel.
- Build the One Brunel Community – Bring students together through events and initiatives that create a sense of belonging.
- Support Clubs and Societies – Help student groups grow, access funding, and create more opportunities for their members.
- Represent Brunel Nationally – Advocate for students at NUS and BUCS, ensuring Brunel’s voice is heard on the national stage.
- Create an Unmissable Social Scene – Develop and promote Party Brunel, running exciting events that bring students together and make sure campus life is not to be missed!
- Drive Sustainability and Fundraising – Lead green initiatives and student-led fundraising efforts to make a real impact.
- Empower Student Voices – Ensure clubs and societies are democratically run, and students have a say in shaping their experience.
- Handle Misconduct, Appeals, and Complaints – Play a key role in managing student misconduct cases, appeals, and complaints, ensuring fairness and accountability.
Governance Responsibilities
As Student Activities President, you’ll also step into key governance roles and have a seat at the top tables:
• Union of Brunel Students Trustee – Sit on the Union’s Board of Trustees, helping guide its direction and ensure its success.
• University Council – You may be nominated to sit on the University Council, representing student needs in key university decisions.
Term of Office
This full-time role spans 53 weeks, starting at the end of the academic year, with a one-week transition period for a smooth handover.
Are You Eligible?
To run for this role, you must:
✔ Be a current Brunel University London student at the time of election.*
✔ Be a full member of the Union of Brunel Students.
✔ Meet the legal requirements to serve as a Trustee under Charity and Company Law.
*You can run in your final year and take up the position after graduating, or do it as a placement year within your course (please note, you will need to check that this counts as an eligible placement for your course, drop us a message for any advice on this).
