Student Rep is the term we use to describe both Course Reps and Postgraduate Research (PGR) Reps.

Course Reps

Course Reps are elected by their course mates to convey their views to their department. Their purpose is not to solely report and help resolve issues raised by the students they represent, but also provide constructive comments and work in partnership with the University and Union to continuously improve the student experience.

"Course Reps" represent the students at a Course level in both Undergraduate Courses and Postgraduate Taught Courses e.g., the Level 6 Civil Engineering Rep would represent all the students studying Civil Engineering at Level 6. Some Course Reps may represent students on several related programmes.

To find out more about being a Course Rep at Brunel, please read our Course Rep Handbook.

PGR Reps

"PGR Reps" represent all Postgraduate Researchers in their Department. Their purpose is not to solely report and help resolve issues raised by those they represent, but also provide constructive comments and work in partnership with the University and Union to continuously improve the postgraduate research experience.
