Whether it's visiting the theatre, improving dramatic skills, or performing, Brunel Drama Society is an opportunity for students to engage with theatre outside of their studies!

Here at Brunel Drama Society, we are committed to providing students with the opportunity to get excited about, and participate in theatre. We offer weekly student-lead workshops in which members get to learn, work and improve on their dramatic skills. These include everything from voice exercises to different theatre styles, to stage combat and accents. In these workshops, members are also given an opportunity to present a small piece that they have worked on, focusing on different elements depending on that evening's workshop. This is a great way to meet new people, work on your dramatic skills, and improve your confidence! Our workshops run every week on Wednesdays from 7:30pm-9pm in Antonin Artuard.

At Brunel Drama Society we cater to all people - we are a welcoming, caring, judge-free, low-pressure environment for all who wish to take part in, or learn more about performance. Everyone is welcome and nobody will be judged. It's fun!

Finally, we try to run at least two theatre trips a year - we get significant discounts for being students, and it's great fun to take some time off from the stress of student life! We will decide on what theatres we visit in London in the workshops.

In the 2019/2020 period we hosted three different performances! An immersive murder mystery at Halloween, featuring a variety of you favourite Halloween characters; a successful, brand-new adaption of Robert Louis Stevenson's classic 'The Strange Case of Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde', called HYDE; and a Comedy Night for charity partnered with the Improv Society and the Musical Theatre Society! This continued in 2020/2021 despite the coronavirus pandemic thanks to the brillillant efforts of that years committee to keep workshops going and stage some performaces over Zoom with Studio Brunel and the societies original production 'Virtual Love'.
