Through dialogue and engagment, our society seeks to cultivate growth of various kinds for our members - personal, intellectual and social, we seek to broaden perspectives. Our Aims:
We aim to bring together a group of bright minded and well spoken young individuals who aren't afraid to question complex ideas. Our society is dedicated to demonstrating the relevance of philosophical thought to contemporary issues and everyday life, with involvement in fundraising and charity work our members will be at the forefront of making meaningful change that goes beyond dicussing theory. Activities:
At the Philosophers’ Society, we believe that exploring life’s biggest questions doesn’t have to be confined to dusty books or solemn debates - it can be lively and creative!
We will also host a variety of events throughout the year, from relaxed socials and discussion nights to charity fundraisers and themed debates. There are also opportunities to hear from external speakers, including academics and professionals, who bring fresh perspectives to philosophical topics. We have some fun events lined up already including mixers, movie nights and much more!
