About Us:

We at Brunel Hockey are an inclusive mixed club with both Men's and Women's teams, partaking in both BUCS Men's and Women's league and Sunday Mixed BUCS League. We train and play our home games at Brunel’s dedicated state of the art hockey pitch located at Brunel University Sports Park, and organise club transport for our eagarly anticipated away days!

Our social side off the pitch is really one of the best you’ll find at Brunel with a fantastic close-knit community between all teams. We run weekly socials, a summer tour, and plenty of functions throughout the year such as Christmas dinner, cave night, pub golf, and end of season ball. We also make sure to hold a range of fundraising events too.

Club Aims:

As a sports club we are always aiming for a promotion to the league above and to really represent Team Brunel as a top-class team. We are however are a welcoming community open to students of all levels and are always looking to find as many new members as we can, so regardless of ability please feel free to come to a taster session and give hockey a try.

Our second aim is to really be a great example of the benefits of joining a sport at university. We work closely with the union to ensure that our players' voices are heard and also to raise money and hold events. We hope that our work here will really show everyone just how well we really work together.

Training:

We run two training sessions a week: an hour and a half separate men’s and women’s session every Monday evening to learn and develop specific in-game skills taught by our coaches, a mix of in-house and external coaching from our partner Eastcote Hockey Club; and a mixed open session every Thursday evening to work on whatever skills you feel need practicing. In partnership with Active@Brunel, we also have access to fitness sessions run by the university.
