Above: The One Brunel March
Campaigns are at the heart of everything we do.
A campaign is a planned series of activities that are intended to achieve a particular aim. We exist to represent you and your views, and that means we'll be campaigning for the things you believe in. We've run awareness campaigns on big issues such as Alcohol, Drugs and Personal Safety, Mental Health, and Plagiarism Awareness. We've campaigned for change; lobbying the university to podcast lectures, fighting an increase in halls fees and joining national campaigns against cuts to higher education.
Throughout the year, your elected student officers will lead on a number of campaigns around important issues you care about, both nationally and University-wide. These can range from month-long to week-long campaigns or even a day and usually consist of a variety of events, initiatives and/or activities.
If there's a campaign you'd like to see the Union run you can let us know here and if you'd like to get involved with our campaigns, you can sign up for opportunities here. If you want to run your own campaign on something you're passionate about, you can receive support from the Union - simply email our Campaigns Coordinator Yasmin, at firstname.lastname@example.org.
This year we're going to be running four campaigns for the whole year which focus on areas of interest for our students and previous campaigns that we've done in the past. More details coming soon!
Inclusivity represents our work around Liberation and Student Rights. It doesn’t matter who you are, you deserve to be represented and respected here at Brunel
We're committed to building a more sustainable Brunel. We want to make sure that we’re recycling, reusing and protecting the planet for the future
We want to prepare Brunel Students for success whilst they're here and after they graduate. Your degree is important, but more and more employers are looking for skills that you can only get by engaging with others, and reflecting upon yourself
You deserve to have a positive University experience and that’s why your wellbeing is our priority. We want to help students feel happy, safe and supported
