How do I vote for my chosen candidate?

Get ready to make your voice heard! Voting will be happening in person from 10am to 5pm on these exciting dates:

  • Tuesday, 22nd October 2024
  • Wednesday, 23rd October 2024

Head over to The Venue in the Hamilton Centre. Enter through the Crank Gardens doors—don’t worry, it’ll be well signposted from the main concourse, so just follow the signs!

Ballot stations will be set up to ensure your vote is private and confidential.

Important Voting Rules:

  • Bring your student ID card.
  • Be prepared: Know who you’re voting for! You can only vote once at a ballot station. Candidate manifestos will be available at the stations.
  • Allow time to queue: Only 8 students are allowed in the ballot area at a time.
  • No phones: Keep them in your bag or pocket.
  • No talking: Unless you’re asking staff a question.
  • Do not touch the keyboards.
  • No lists: This includes paper, hands, etc.
  • No pictures in the ballot area.

If you don’t follow these rules, you may be asked to leave and face disciplinary action.

The queue closes at 4:45pm, so get there early to ensure you can cast your vote!

Can I Vote Online?

Yes! However postal vote applications have now closed.

Remember, only submit a request to vote online for yourself. Submitting a request for another student is considered misconduct and may lead to disciplinary action. We are monitoring requests and will know if you’re completing the form on behalf of someone else.

Make your vote count! 🎉
