Student Led Awards

A time to celebrate those in our staff who've stepped up and made University life brighter and better.

Nominate your favourite University Staff members for the Student Led Awards

It is that time of year where the student body is given the opportunity to acknowledge the very best of Brunel’s staff.

The Student Led Awards at Brunel aim to recognise and promote exceptional practice among members of University Staff. Each year the union gives students the opportunity to acknowledge individuals who stand out, inspire, motivate and engage with the student population. The scheme develops the Union’s partnership with the University, highlights the importance of student experience and amplifies student voice on campus.

The ceremony is on the 26th of May and the evening will be a celebration of the nominees. The winner of each shortlisted category presented with an award. The categories open for nominations for this year are Tutor/Supervisor of the Year; Outstanding Feedback; Lecturer of the Year; Exceptional Support Staff; Sustainability Champion; Liberation, Equality and Diversity Champion Award; Global Citizen Award (CBASS Staff only]; and the Technician of the Year Award (CEDPS Staff only).

Overall, the Student Led Awards are designed to promote extraordinary practice and to elevate the student experience overall. Nominations open on Monday 28th of February and close Midnight on Sunday 13th of March. If the member of staff you nominate is shortlisted, you will be invited to attend the ceremony – complete with a complimentary 3-course meal.

If you feel a member of University staff should be celebrated, nominate them online at www.brunelstudents.com/sla.
