Brunel Climbing is the on-campus climbing group with a wall built into the sports centre. We meet twice a week and offer teaching from beginner to advanced alongside socials and great trips.
Brunel Climbing (affectionately known as BUMS, short for Brunel University Mountaineering Society) is one of the friendliest groups of students you will meet, with everyone from first year to postgraduate students. We meet twice a week in the sports centre climbing wall as a club, alongside our professional climbing instructor Tom. He can aid any level of climber from complete beginners who have never climbed before to the more experienced climbers looking to hone they're skills and improve their technique.
We have a bouldering room just off the side of our wall with a thorough group of keen boulders to help teach new skills.
As a club we take great pride in our mutiple outdoor trips throughout the year to different crags around the UK, as well as a variety of exciting and great socials to keep the calendar busy. This includes two Freshers event, which are ideal for those who are new to climbing and want to see what it's all about.
Join our Whatsapp by coming to the wall and scaning the QR code to keep up to date with events and socials, meet our members and see photos from our trips!
