role description

Student Assembly is a meeting of elected representatives to decide the policies and campaigns of the Union, making sure that it is working on the issues that matter to our members. They also hold the Student Officers to account, asking them questions about their decisions and making suggestions to them, to make sure that they are running the Union in the best way possible.

  • You must currently be enrolled at Brunel University.
  • You must be able to attend ALL Student Assembly meetings in 24/25.
  • There are 15 community positions with a target of at least 5 of those to be Women (women candidates will be counted first when running results).

 

Student Assembly Commuter Student members

  • You must currently be enrolled at Brunel University.
  • You must be able to attend all Student Assembly meetings in 24/25.
  • There are 2 Commuter students’ positions available, with a target of at least 1 of those to be Women (women candidates will be counted first when running results).
  • A Commuter student will live more than a two-mile radius from the University and will be eligible to apply to park on site.

 

Student Assembly home Student members

  • You must currently be enrolled at Brunel University.
  • You must be able to attend all Student Assembly meetings in 24/25.
  • There are 4 Home students' positions available, with a target of at least 2 of them being women (women candidates will be counted first when running results).
  • A Home Student will be ordinarily resident in the UK without any immigration restriction are a British or Irish national who has lived in the UK, Republic of Ireland, the Isle of Man or the Channel Islands for three full years immediately before the first day of your course.
