When Loco’s or The Venue is trading (term time, 7days a week) the front door, from 7pm is the Hamilton Centre main doors, where you walk in and out of the main atrium.
These doors will stop entry every night at 11pm without exception. You will need your student ID card to enter the building once security is in place. Without student or government ID you will not gain access to either venue.
Guests will not be allowed entrance to any ticketed event unless the ticket is purchased in advance.
As a student you can purchase tickets from the Union Reception, the App or the Union website. You can purchase 1 ticket (for yourself) and also 1 guest ticket (providing there are some available). Please see guest ticket section for more information on purchasing a guest ticket.
To redeem the ticket you will need your student ID card for entrance on the door and to gain entry to the event. If the event is free, you will still need your student ID card. It is also suggested that you always carry your government or national ID with you too… Just in case you’re lucky enough to look under 21 ;)
There will be a limited amount of guest tickets available for ALL union events. This will be a quantity of tickets that will go on sale at the same time as student tickets do. As a student you are allowed to purchase one guest ticket, as long as there is some available. The tickets are limited so once they are gone they are gone!
When you purchase a guest ticket you must fill out the information required before you can finalise your payment. The information will be held on file for 31 days after the event.
The information you provide at point of purchase must be correct and will be checked on the door alongside the ID that your guest brings with them. If the ID does not match then entry will be refused.
All guest tickets will only be on sale until 24 hours before the event, so if the event is a Friday they will come off sale at 8pm on Thursday.
Guests are not permitted to purchase tickets on the door.
All tickets, student & guests, only guarantee entry until 10.30pm. Door tickets will go on sale at 10.30pm therefore if you arrive at 11pm with a ticket and the venue is full, you will not be guaranteed entry. However if the Venue is not at capacity the ticket will still be valid.
Please arrive before 10.30pm to avoid disappointment.
