This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, thrives on making things happen, and is passionate about delivering outstanding experiences for diverse student communities.
What You'll Be Doing
- Freshers and Refreshers activities
- One Brunel celebrations and cultural events
- Weekend trips and excursions
- Team Brunel Ball, Societies Ball and other major celebrations
- Manage event logistics including venues, transport, suppliers, equipment and schedules
- Coordinate risk assessments and ensure events are safe, inclusive and accessible
- Work closely with student clubs, societies and Union colleagues to bring ideas to life
- Support the promotion of events and maximise student engagement
- Act as a key point of contact during live events
- Collect feedback and participation data to improve future events
We're Looking For Someone Who...
Essential
- Experience planning and delivering events or activities in a busy environment
- Experience working with students, volunteers or community groups
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
- Excellent organisational and communication skills
- Ability to stay calm and solve problems during live events
- Commitment to creating welcoming, inclusive experiences for all
Desirable:
- Experience delivering large-scale events or welcome programmes
- Experience in a Students’ Union, higher education or membership organisation
- Knowledge of event promotion and audience engagement
- Experience using feedback and data to improve events

Our Benefits
We offer a generous benefits package to reward our staff's hard work and commitment, including:
- Generous holiday allowance - Generous holiday allowance - 25 days a year plus bank holidays (This will be pro rata'd for part-time employees). Additional days are usually given at Easter and Christmas in line with the University closure dates (usually about 5 additional days a year).
- Long service - 2 additional days leave will be given after 5 years continuous service
- On-site parking – Parking on campus at a low-cost rate.
- Flexible Working - The Union adopts a flexible working environment.
