Could you be our new Student Trustee?
As a Student Trustee you will be an integral part of the Trustee Board for the Union of Brunel Students. The Board of Trustees are our highest governing body and have ultimate responsibility for the governance, financial and strategic direction of the Union of Brunel Students.
This voluntary role will give you a valuable insight into the workings of a charitable organisation along with a significant impact on decisions being made by the Union. You will get the chance to discuss, debate and decide on the strategic direction of the Union and its plans for the future while ensuring it is always acting in the interests of students
We are seeking a Brunel University Student with an enthusiasm for developing student services and student activities, who is able to influence the strategic direction of an organisation and can demonstrate effective leadership qualities. The right candidate will be able to demonstrate honesty, integrity and openness, in addition to commanding confidence, having sound judgement and strong communication skills.
Key Information
Position: Student Trustee
Start date: 6th March 2023 (2-year period of office)
Hours of work: Five Board of Trustee meetings throughout the academic year and minimum of four Subcommittee meetings. (we estimate this to be 35 hours a year with training and any meeting preperation).
Contract: Voluntary, unpaid
Induction: You will be required to attend an online training session as part of your induction into the role.
Requirements: You must be a registered student for the forthcoming year to apply for this role.
