My name is Hatim Amin and I am an undergraduate mechanical engineering student who has chosen to stand for the role of course representative.
By putting your trust in me, I will ensure that there is a greater bond between students and the teaching faculty. This, in turn will allow students to have a smoother transition into university life, as well as a platform to influence change themselves.
As someone who has always taken pride in my culture, beliefs and academics, I strongly believe that I will be able to emulate and transmit these characteristics into this role.
As your representative, I will aim to ensure that a student led body is formed, where students can anonymously share any problems or queries they might have on an academic or personal level.
If given the chance, I would be honoured to represent you to the best of my abilities. So I ask you all to take a leap of faith in me and be the catalyst for the change that you desire.

Why are you interested in being a member of student assembly?(150 words max)
Due to my status as an international student as well being new to this country and it’s culture, I believe that through this role, I would be able to deeply resonate with and become a voice for students who might be struggling to adapt to the university environment.Furthermore, this role will present itself as a great opportunity for me to interact and communicate with the rest of my peers, something that might not have been possible otherwise, due to the sheer size of the engineering cohort.
