I come from a corner of Bangladesh that houses a fascinating culture. Content with its extremities, the town is perpetually buzzing with not only high-tech android apps and continuous attempts at technological developments, but also with the warm family dinners flowing with the quiet rhythm of the rural town. Exploring different cultures and meeting new people is something that I always enjoyed doing. In fact, one of the major reasons for me selecting Brunel University London for my Undergraduate program is it's Diversity. I already made friends who come from various parts of this world, this truly fascinates me thinking about all the opportunity that leads ahead. I have been able to live my university life to the fullest. I have been elected the Course Representative from my course and further elected as the co-chair among my fellow Course Representatives. I have always been the helpful kind and I personally believe a little more love, understanding and positivity will only make this world a better place for us to live in so with that thought in my mind I had signed up for Brunel Volunteers and became a Brunel Buddy. I also volunteer to mentor GCSE and A level students Mathematics and Science to children in the UK. Back in my hometown during the Pandemic, I formed a community called ‘The Betterment Society’ where me and my fellow mates saw the opportunity to help the less fortunate during the tough times. We organized clothes donation and distributed much-needed clothes for the homeless and poor before the cold of winter settled in. We also partnered with an NGO named ‘Shopnadorsho’ to donate basic food supplies around 100 underprivileged people. We had fundraised over 18,0000 Bangladeshi Taka within a span of 8 days and as the treasurer I successfully ensured that every single penny was used to help the deprived and was used wisely and only for the noble cause. My goal is simple; I love meeting new people and making friends. Furthermore, I’m responsible which makes me outstand from many of my peers and a perfect candidate for this program. I am aware of all the responsibilities and I’m confident that I would be capable of managing all of them. Being blessed with the opportunity would help me explore the foreign culture from a closer view, broaden my learning capability, help me with my career and make new friends.
