Women in Leadership Conference

The vision of this conference is to empower and inspire a new generation of women to become leaders in society.

Start 2017 feeling inspired and gaining key skills for your leadership development by attending the Women in Leadership Conference.

The Union of Brunel Students recognises that there is a lack of women leaders throughout society and the need to address this gender disparity in leadership roles continues to have urgency. Our Women in Leadership Conference is part of our wider work to address gender inequality here at Brunel and in wider society. The overarching aim of the conference is to provide a safe and inclusive space for you to become empowered to be a leader and provide you with leadership tools in order to enable you to reach your full leadership potential.

Starting a business – taking the first step
Have you ever thought about starting up your own business, but aren’t sure how you would go about doing this or what it would be like? The founders of Bella Kinesis will talk you through why they started their business and how they took the first steps to creating their company and the difficult decisions they had to make along with the personal sacrifices. They will give you an insight into how they dealt with setbacks and embraced failure. There will also be an opportunity for you to discuss what’s holding you back from taking the plunge and how to access resources (data, startup loans etc…).
