THE VOTES ARE IN...
Firstly, we commend all our candidates for this year's Autumn Elections. We understand that the election process can put a lot of pressure on our candidates; however, without it, we wouldn't achieve our democratic goals as a Student's Union, so thank you for participating!
THIS YEAR'S STATISTICS
COMPLAINTS
We are proud to say that this year, we received the least student complaints for several years. We received a total of 2 complaints, which meant we had a free and fair election but a FUN one too!
The Deputy Returning Officer would like to thank all candidates and campaigners for their enthusiasm and positivity.
CANDIDATES
This term's election saw 65 students nominating themselves for available roles. A fantastic turnout by our student body. We also saw 26 female candidates (40%), an increase from 2022 which had 10 female candidates (21.74%), this is a step in the right direction to drive equality and remove barriers to inclusion and be open to all.
VOTES
There was a good turn to this term's elections, with 1,896 students casting 5,856 votes in our elections. This wouldn't have happened without our candidate's enthusiasm and drive to encourage voter participation, so thank you!
