Have Your Say & Get a £40 Gift Card!

You spoke, we listened! Last year, we took a close look into how we represent your voice—and now, we’re excited to share a proposal we think will make our Union more inclusive, impactful, and accessible. But first, we want your feedback to make sure we’re getting it right.

Why join?
Not only will you help shape the future of our Union, but you’ll also receive a £40 Gift Pay gift card (that can be spent at Deliveroo, amazon, Uber, Tesco and so many more places!)—perfect for the holidays! Each focus group session is just 1 hour and 15 minutes, and your responses are 100% confidential.

Here’s what you told us you wanted:

  • Representation that reflects Brunel’s diversity
  • More low-commitment ways to get involved
  • A focus on the issues that matter to you
  • More qualified, accountable officers
  • Paid opportunities beyond Full-Time Officers

Our proposal includes:

  • A team approach where Full-Time Officers, Part-Time Organisers, and volunteer champions collaborate to represent you.
  • New student networks for easy, low-commitment engagement.
  • Prioritising key student issues and creating more roles to cover all areas.
  • Paid Part-Time Organiser roles to help remove barriers to participation and drive engagement.
  • A selection process for some roles to ensure accountability and skills.

A Quick Note on Selection:

To ensure we capture a range of perspectives that represent our campus community, we’ll be selecting focus group participants with this in mind, using the data provided in the Expression of Interest form. We’ll reach out to selected students after the deadline to confirm their spot. If you’re not selected this time, we really appreciate your interest and hope you’ll join us for future opportunities.
