After over 10 years of lobbying from our officer team and a major push from suggestions and voting on our ideas portal, we are thrilled to announce the opening of a new Multifaith Prayer Space on Monday 7th April!
Located at the heart of the campus, this dedicated space will provide students and staff with a peaceful, accessible place to practise their faith and reflect, promoting unity and respect for all religious backgrounds.
At Brunel, we understand the integral role that spiritual practice plays in many student and staff members’ lives. It’s not just an aspect of personal identity—it’s a key factor in enriching the vibrant diversity that makes our university community so unique. This new initiative is designed to support the daily spiritual and religious needs of everyone at Brunel, ensuring that there is the space to worship and reflect in a central location.
The new Multifaith Prayer Space offers separate male and female prayer rooms, a shared communal area, and a reflection room. All are designed to create an environment of serenity, privacy, and respect for different practices and traditions.
Conveniently located in Hamilton Building (HMLT004), the entrance is easily accessible opposite the John Crank Garden (second entrance after the Job Shop). Clear signage will guide users to the facility.
Operating hours will be from 8am to 6pm, with access granted via ID card, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for all.
We are excited to provide this resource as part of our ongoing commitment to celebrating diversity, inclusivity, and wellbeing at Brunel.
