Wrapping up Plan-It Earth Week

This week we put on a number of events for students to come along and participate in sustainable practice and learn about how to reduce their impact.

Happy Passover

Passover (or Pesach in Hebrew) is one of the most important festivals in the Jewish year, and as your student union, we would like to bring awareness to this holiday experienced by many students at Brunel University London.

Enviornmental Science Society

This society have been very active this week, ensuring the message of sustainability and environmental practice has been spread across campus. They hosted a Walk & Talk where took the Celandine Walk along the River Pinn whilst discussing conservation and foraging in the local area.

 

Volleyball Club

Volleyball are currently involved in a 3-way playoff for promotion to the premier tier. They played their 1st game yesterday and won 3-2 overall winning the final set 15-13.

Additionally, this club held a charity volleyball tournament last Friday, rasing £70 overall.

 

Yuvraj championing sustainability

Yuvraj (He/Him) is a Environmental Management MSc who has been an active force driving many of our events for Earth Week. He participated in the Walk & Talk on Wednesday, lead the People on the Planet: Eco- Entreprenuership talk on Friday and also took part in an informative interview regarding the importance of sustainable practice.

He has co-produced an article about eco-entreprenuership for all those who were unable to attend the talk in-person. Fancy reading the article?
