Senior and Academic Course Rep of the Month

The reps of the month have been revealed...a huge congratulations to Neha Gholsalkar for winning Senior Rep of the Month, and Edward Masanard for winning Academic Course Rep of the Month.

Neha has shown outstanding leadership within Psychology and CHMLS, developing the new Pyschology Student Common Room, and raising concerns about assessments being scheduled before final lectures, ensuring students receive all necessary teaching before being assessed.

Edward has been highly proactive in advocating for his MSc Water & Environment Engineering cohort. He successfully requested early access to lecture materials to improve student preparedness, led a survey to clarify exam expectations, and secured clear communication from the lecturer, including timely release of coursework grades.

These are only some of the amazing things Neha and Edward have done - once again congratulations to them for getting their hard work recognised.

BUCS Championships could see Team Brunel bringing home some trophy's...

Team Brunel delivered another strong week of competition, showcasing determination, teamwork, and plenty of standout moments across leagues and cup fixtures.

Rugby Union led the charge with a trio of impressive results. The Men’s 1st team claimed a commanding 48-24 league win over Bristol Men’s 1, while the Men’s 2nd team followed up with a 36 -22 National Trophy victory against Bristol Men’s 2. The Men’s 3rd team completed the sweep, controlling their Conference Cup match to secure a confident 31–5 win over Portsmouth Men’s 2.

Across campus, Brunel teams continued to shine. Futsal Men’s 2 delivered a high‑scoring 9-4 Conference Cup win against King’s College Men’s 2, and Table Tennis Men’s 1 eased to a 14-3 cup victory over King’s College Men’s 3. Hockey Open 1 added to the success with a composed 4-2 Conference Cup win over UCL Open 3.

There were also performances full of grit and excitement. Futsal Men’s 1 battled through a dramatic 6-6 draw with Imperial Men’s 1, while Rugby Union Women’s 1 showed real resilience in BUCS Super Rugby, putting 17 points on the board against a dominant Hartpury side.

Looking ahead, Brunel athletes head to Sheffield this weekend for the BUCS Indoor Championships, competing in athletics, badminton, climbing, and fencing. With strong talent across the board, there’s plenty of anticipation as Team Brunel aims to bring home medals.
