Women's History Month launch 'This Girl Can' Campaign:
WSN x This Girl Can: Neon Run
Next Tuesday, 24th March, the Women's Student Network are putting on a group-led run around campus advocating women's safety - running when it's dark should be as simple and accessible as exercise at any other time, but for women it's a risk of safety that they're forced to consider. This event is about reclaiming visibility and confidence for women in public spaces. It's not about pace, all fitness levels are welcome - this is about reclaiming space as a community. Meet outside merch shop/student activities.

WSN x This Girl Can: Brazilian Jiujitsu Self-Defence Class
Led by our Gender, Diversity & Inclusion Officer (Nimisha Pangeni), the Women’s Student Network (WSN) is hosting a special Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ) taster session focused on body autonomy, confidence, and women’s safety.
BJJ is a grappling-based martial art that doesn't rely on size or strength. It teaches you how to protect your personal space. We want to empower women through movement, and knowing how to protect oneself. This is the perfect way to do it.
It's on Thursday 26th March, 1.30pm-2.45pm in the Indoor Athletics Centre (IAC), and tickets are free.
