How often are we harder on ourselves than we would ever be on anyone else?

For Women’s History Month, the Women’s Student Network (WSN) is encouraging people to love themselves. Self Love > Self Doubt, is a campaign designed to help students reflect on and release negative thoughts about their bodies and self-image.

From Monday 9th March to Friday 13th March, students can visit our purple self-love box in the Atrium (Hamilton Building) and anonymously submit thoughts they’re ready to let go of, whether it’s insecurities, comparisons, or critical inner voices.

There are no names and no judgement — just honesty. At the end of the week, all submissions will be symbolically destroyed on Monday 16th March, creating a collective moment of release and reflection.

The campaign aims to highlight how body dysmorphia and low self-esteem can affect anyone, and to encourage a shift in mindset from self-doubt to self-compassion.

Students are invited to take a moment, write it down, and let it go.
