Brunel Lacrosse continued it's work with RAG on Friday 6th October with a charity bake sale! The event was organised by RAG officer Lucy Johnson, who also is chair of the Christian Society. A selection of homemade muffins, brownies and cupcakes were availble, even catering to all diets with vegan options! Whilst campus was relatively quiet in the morning, the stand soon became busy arounf lunch time and by 2pm nearly all the cakes had been sold, leaving us with £173 to give to RAG.
This year RAG are raising money for four nominated chairties:
Antonoloy Nolan - Raising money for those who urgently need stem cell transplants
Battersea Cats and Dogs - Helping cats and dogs find loving homes
Maggies West London - Offering a safe space and advice centre for those who need it
St. Johns Hospice - Provides incredible palliative care
We at the lacrosse club are happy to have been able to help raise money for such good causes and we surpassed our aim of £100 by nearly double! Keep an eye around campus as we are planning our next event very soon!
