Brunel First Aid Society members at the 2018 Christmas Ball!

Six members of Brunel First Aid Society attended the London & South LINKS Christmas Ball on Saturday 8th December. It was a great opportunity to get dressed up, enjoy some good food and chat to members of other First Aid Societies from across the region.

During the night our members were also presented with some awards! Toby Sanderson and Amy Leverton (our Unit Manager and Unit Events Lead) won the West London LINKS District Volunteer of the Year, for their work in promoting the availability and accessibility of defibrillators across the Brunel campus. And Sandeep Sidhu (Unit Training Lead) was presented with the Outstanding Contribution by a Newcomer award for taking on his committee position and leading our training sessions despite being in the organisation less than a year.

If you're interested in learning First Aid or fancy volunteering with St John Ambulance, feel free to come along to one of our sessions! We meet every Monday at 6:30pm in LECT 005 - feel free to drop in or email brunel@sja.org.uk for more information!
