We have been collecting donations for the past 6 weeks, and on Saturday 3rd October, the collection came to an end. After receiving hundreds of donations from staff, students, residents, and community groups, the time came to sort them out before they are distributed by the organisation we have been working with, Cal Aid.

Starting with a human chain from the third floor of the library (where the donations had been stored), the bags and boxes made their way down the library stairs, and out onto the concourse. After everyone took a quick break after that workout, we went on to sort out the donations into sections in the Hamilton Building atrium, and then packed up in the Academy, before being loaded onto the van.

We have received a phenomenal response to this appeal, and we look forward to doing our part for more campaigns like these in the future.
