The post of Environment and Ethics Officer will be going live for nominations on Monday 25th March 2019, 10am. This post was unfilled in the spring elections, as such we are running a bye-election to fill the post. Nominations will close on the Friday 29th March 2019, 4pm.
The Environmental and Ethics Officer works with staff, officers, students, and the University to ensure the Environmental strategy is developed and followed. This Officer also leads the Union's work on sustainability aiming to make the Union and University more environmentally friendly organisations. They will work with colleagues from both organisations to run campaigns and activities to engage students and encourage them to be more aware of their actions.
In the coming year we are hoping to work closely with this Officer to revisit our current outdated environmental policy, and to create a new policy that is fit for purpose.
Voting for this post will take place from the Tuesday 2nd April, 10am through to the Thursday 4th April 4pm. At the same time we will be running elections for the Post of Student trustee.
The role of Student trustee is recruited for by the Unions Appointments Committee, following this the committee put forwards any recommended candidates for election by all members.
