Next week, elections will be taking place for our new Level Three Student Representatives for the 2019/20 Academic Year. Elections will also be taking place for all unfilled Level 1 Student Rep and Postgraduate Research Rep Posts.
This is your opportunity to become a Student Rep at the Union of Brunel Students. Reps are responsible for gathering feedback from students on their experience here at Brunel and communicating that back to the University – Do you have enough books in the Library? Is your Lecture recorded and published on Blackboard? Do you get enough support from your Lecturers? These are all things that you can work with Academics to develop and innovate here at Brunel.
Course Rep Elections
Previously, we’ve held all Student Rep elections online however this year, we are also coming to your lectures to do in-class elections to help you feel more connected to the student rep you chose to elect.
If you are a Level 2 Student or a Level 1 Student, without a current Student Rep, then a Union Officer or Staff Member will come to one of your lectures to facilitate an election. If you have any questions, then you can ask during the election or you can email StudentVoice@brunel.ac.uk. (Some of these elections may take place in Term 3 due to Timetabling).
Department and Postgraduate Research Rep Elections
Department Reps and Postgraduate Research Reps will still be elected online. Nominations are now open and will close at 5pm on Sunday March 31st. Voting will begin at 10am on Tuesday April 2ndst close at 4pm on Thursday 4th April.
We hope that you will join thousands of Student Reps, both past and present, who have fought for your experience here at Brunel – including for Anonymous Marking, Blackboard Support, Lecture Capture, and support services across the University.
