The story of how a Student Rep in the Business School campaigned to postpone the dissertation submission date for all PG Students.
As a Union we believe the work of Student Reps should be celebrated. One way we do this is through our Student Rep Spotlight where we share the successes of Student Reps with the wider University Community.
In the spotlight this week is Agneška Matusevic, Postgraduate Course Rep for International Business, who helped to postpone the dissertation topic submission dates for all postgraduate students in the business school (both September and January starters).
Being given only a few days to submit a topic for their dissertation assignment whilst not being informed of essential information, postgraduate students on the Postgraduate International Business Course were naturally frustrated.
Noting this, Agneška arranged a meeting with the Head of the Business School to discuss the concerns of students. In this meeting, she found out the Head of Business School was really surprised about the situation on the International Business Course and was concerned that students had not been provided with important information.
As a result of the meeting, the Head of the Business school worked with Agneška to address the concerns of students on her course by getting the dissertation topic submission deadline extended.
Well done Agneška!
