Union Food Bank Drive

As budgets are stretched and incomes are falling, Food Banks become more and more common. The Union of Brunel Students has been working with the Trussell Trust for a number of years to support their Food Banks, holding regular drives to collect donations.

Over the next couple of weeks we will be running another food drive, asking students to donate non-perishable food items (like tins, packets etc) which will be given to people in need. The collection will run 23rd January - 6th February in Union Reception. Please if you can add a few extra items to your grocery shopping, or have items in your cupboard we would be very grateful.

The Trussell Trust runs a network of over 400 foodbanks, giving emergency food and support to people in crisis across the UK, where thirteen million people live below the poverty line. In the last year we gave 1,109,309 three day emergency food supplies to people in crisis. For more information on what the Trussell Trust do visit
