We're Changing The Game: How Elected Officers Make a Difference

It was announced on 8th March that the Vice President Student Activities Michael Darlow, along with President Ali Milani, has achieved a goal which he set 18 months ago when first coming into office. The game changing announcement that the University is investing heavily in Union sports activities was met with delight and celebration from students at an event on the main concourse. This will mean that sports club memberships are free from academic year 2017-18, as well as a programme of social sport, society specific sporting activity, and fitness programmes.

Perhaps the crowning glory in Michael's two terms of office, this achievement is a great example of what can be achieved by elected officers. He said "The creation of Team Brunel and the removal of membership fees to sports clubs has completely changed the sporting offer. I am so proud of these two achievements."

This goes to show what can be done at the Union with hard work, passion, and teamwork with the Union and University!
