About Us

Providing a safe environment for members of the LGBTQA+ community on campus, and actively campaign for the rights of LGBTQA+ people both at Brunel and in wider society.

Welcome to the Brunel LGBTQA+ Society!

Here we aim to provide a safe and friendly environment for LGBTQA+ students at Brunel, and a support network for those who may be unable to express their sexuality or gender identity openly. All are welcome, both students and staff, regardless of sexuality, gender identity, expression, religion, creed or colour.

The goals of the society are not only to provide a safe space for self expression, but also to further the rights of LGBTQA+ people both on campus, and in wider society. We achieve this by holding events, campaigns, fundraisers, protests, vigils and much more!

As well as campaigning, we hold community events such as LGBTQA+ film screenings such as Pride (2014), weekly Rupaul Drag Race viewings, socials, drag performances, coffee hours, craft sessions and club nights the Venue or in London's Gay Village.

We hope you will consider joining the LGBTQA+ Society (membership is free!). If you want more information, or just a friend to come along to your first LGBTQA+ event, feel free to get in touch!
