About Us

BURC is a steadily growing club, we offer diverse land-based training and will offer water training. We compete throughout the year at various BUCS events, Indoor Rowing Competitions, and Regattas.

Brunel University Rowing Club is very diverse, as it has a wide range of ability and experience. The BURC was a pre-existing club that has now restarted again this year, so is growing each and every session. Brunel Rowing Club has an impressive history at Brunel, previously having more than 50 members, and is on track for this to be a reality again in the foreseeable future.

We tailor the training to the desires of the rower, we can create training plans for the serious rower who wants to train every day, or a more casual 1-2 days a week. We offer racing opportunities for all levels but also are more than happy for rowers to casually train to stay fit. Our Sessions at the moment are a mixture of rowing machine work and a fitness circuit - predominantly focusing on Core strength and Lower body, both being essential for rowing. We currently train on campus 7-9am every Monday and Friday in the Indoor Athletics Centre.

Our club hugely values community and will also have opportunities to socialize outside of training through socials, games night, dinners, and trips.
