Health & Safety Campaigns

Men's Health Every November the Union celebrates Men’s Health Month. This campaign is dedicated to raising awareness about men’s health issues and promoting early detection, prevention, and treatment. The campaign focuses on key concerns including prostate cancer, testicular cancer, mental health, and suicide prevention. It also includes International Men’s Health Day which 19th November.
Mental Health Awareness Week Bringing awareness to the mental health issues experienced by students, highlighting non-clinical support, coping skills, and support services.

Safe Start: Recognise & Reach Out This is an early intervention campaign targeted at new and returning students, taking place the week after Welcome/Fresher’s week. The objective of the campaign is to ensure that students are informed of the signs/indicators of unsafe situations and that students are aware of where to go for support when they feel unsafe or vulnerable.

Winter Wellness This is a Union Wellness Campaign being conducted with The Meeting House and Res-Life Ambassadors. We are hoping to improve student’s physical and mental well-being over the winter period and the festive break.
