The theme for this year’s Mental Health Awareness Week is ‘Movement: Moving More for Our Mental Health.’  According to the latest report by the Mental Health Foundation, 36% of the population find it difficult to incorporate movement. Moving your body improves your overall physical and mental with studies showing that exercise can be as effective as medication in improving mental health and happiness levels. Physical activities stimulate the release of happy hormones such as dopamine, serotonin, and endorphins, that can help regulate and increase your mood, reduce feelings of anxiety and depression and increase your motivation and concentration.
