SA is everyone’s issue

It is on all of us to fight against it. We all need to change the culture to make our society and environment safer. What can we do?

Encourage conversations about this to bring the issue to light.

Promote our collective responsibility to protect others.

Speak up and use your power- use your voice to educate others, be bold and hold the perpetrators accountable.

Hold people close to you to account for problematic behaviours, whether they are physical actions or degrading comments/jokes.

As a man, challenge stereotypes and traditional views of manhood that encourage abusive behaviour and stop men from standing up.

Listen to, empower and support survivors, believe them and treat sexual violence and harassment as a serious issue. Educate yourself. Become an ally.
