An adrenal or cortisol mocktail is a health-based drink consisting of Vitamin C, Potassium and Sodium. It helps improves your adrenal function and lower cortisol levels. High cortisol can increase blood sugar levels and impair insulin sensitivity. This can ultimately make insulin resistance worse.  

 

Tropical Adrenal Mocktail

Ingredients 

  • ¾ cup coconut water 

  • ¼ cup orange juice 

  • 1 lime juiced 

  • ¼ tsp sea salt 

 

Instructions 

Combine all ingredients together in a glass and stir to combine. Enjoy!

Blackberry Lemonade Cortisol Cocktail

Ingredients  

  • ½ cup blackberries fresh or frozen 

  • 2 cup coconut water divided 

  • 3 tbsp monkfruit sweetener 

  • ¼ cup lemon juice or the juice of 2 lemons 

  • ¼ tsp sea salt 

 

Instructions  

  1. Heat the blackberries, 1 cup of the coconut water, and monkfruit sweetener in a small saucepan over medium heat. Gently mash the blackberries with a wooden spoon or fork to release some of the juices. Stir to combine the ingredients. 

  1. While the liquid mixture is heating, cut your lemons in half and squeeze out as much juice as possible into a small bowl. Strain the seeds out with a mesh strainer and discard. 

  1. Pour the heated mixture into a large mug or measuring glass while straining out the blackberries with a mesh strainer. Discard the blackberries. Allow the mixture to cool for at least 5 to 10 minutes. 

  1. Once the liquid mixture has cooled, combine it with the lemon juice, 1 additional cup of coconut water, and salt. 

  1. Chill and pour over ice. Garnish with additional blackberries and lemon if desired. Enjoy!

Pineapple Cortisol Mocktail

Ingredients  

  • ½ cup pineapple cubed 

  • ¾ cup coconut water 

  • 1 lime juiced 

  • ½ tsp monkfruit sweetener 

  • ¼ tsp sea salt 

 

Instructions  

  1. Pour all ingredients into a blender and blend on high for 20 to 30 seconds or until smooth. 

  1. Pour into a glass over ice and enjoy!

This drink combines guava nectar, coconut water, fresh lime juice and sea salt. It's the perfect mocktail to sip on in times of stress. 

 

Ingredients 

  • 6 oz coconut water no sugar added 

  • 2 oz guava nectar no sugar added 

  • 1 lime juiced 

  • ⅛ tsp sea salt 

 

Instructions 

Combine all ingredients together and pour over ice. Enjoy!
