Your Chance to Represent Brunel Students
This autumn, the Union of Brunel Students is holding elections for key part-time leadership roles. These roles are your chance to influence student life, build your CV, and make Brunel a better place to study, live and socialise.
Whether it’s pushing for more affordable accommodation, better food options on campus, or increased access to sports and wellbeing facilities, you can help make it happen.
Why get involved?
-
Make a difference on issues that affect thousands of Brunel students
-
Work with Officers and other student leaders to improve campus life
-
Gain transferable skills employers value (leadership, teamwork, decision-making, communication)
-
Stand out on your CV with real student leadership experience
You don’t need prior experience or to be the loudest voice in the room. You just need to care about students, be willing to work as part of a team, and be ready to show up.
What roles are available?
Join a team of elected students who set Union policy and make sure the Union is focusing on the issues that matter most. You’ll represent students, hold elected Officers to account, and shape campaigns.
What kind of changes could you influence?
-
More late-night food options on campus
-
Extended access to sports facilities outside of lecture times
-
More space for societies and clubs to meet
-
Campaigns on issues such as sustainability, wellbeing and inclusion
This is a great opportunity for anyone who wants to make real change and gain leadership experience. You’ll be at the heart of student democracy at Brunel, helping decide Union policies and campaigns.
If you’re a postgraduate student, this is your chance to represent postgrads across campus. You’ll work closely with other Officers and Union staff to raise the issues that matter most to postgraduate students.
You could:
-
Influence improvements to research and academic support
-
Push for more tailored postgraduate social opportunities
-
Ensure postgraduate voices are heard in Union campaigns
This role is all about improving the postgraduate experience and making sure postgrads feel represented in Union decisions.
