What is the Home Students Officer (Women) role?
The Home Students Officer (Women) represents the voice of women who are home students at Brunel. You will be the link between this community and the Union, making sure the unique needs of women home students are heard, supported, and acted on.
This is a part-time voluntary role alongside your studies, giving you the chance to support your community, gain leadership experience, and make a real impact for home students across campus.

What you need to know

You must currently be enrolled at Brunel University and be enrolled for the majority of the 2025/26 academic year
-
You must identify as a woman
-
You must be ordinarily resident in the UK without immigration restrictions (British or Irish national who has lived in the UK, Republic of Ireland, Isle of Man, or Channel Islands for three years before the first day of your course)

You must be able to attend a campaign planning training session in November 2025

Expect to commit around 3+ hours per week to the role
Responsibilities

Address issues affecting home students, including transport, funding, welfare, inclusion, and cultural recognition

Lead the Home Students' Network and oversee an engaging, dynamic community of home students

Work with the campaigns and student engagement coordinator to support wider student engagement

Co-chair the Home Students' Network with the other Home Students Officer

Deliver at least one innovative campaign that specifically supports home students
