What is the Postgraduate Officer role?
The Postgraduate Officer represents the voice of all postgraduate taught and research students at Brunel. You’ll be the link between postgrads and the Union, making sure the unique needs of postgraduate students are heard, supported, and acted on.
This is a part-time voluntary role alongside your studies, giving you the chance to support your community, gain leadership experience, and create real impact for postgrads across campus.

What you need to know

You must be currently enrolled at Brunel University

You must be registered on a postgraduate taught or postgraduate research course

You should expect to commit around 3+ hours per week to the role

You must be able to attend a remote campaign planning training session in November 2025
Responsibilities

Represent and support postgraduate taught and research students with their wellbeing and education

Bring together postgraduate students and course reps to raise issues, share ideas, and improve the postgraduate experience

Contribute to the Union’s Academic Support campaign, ensuring postgraduate perspectives are included
-
Deliver one additional campaign of your choice, focusing on issues that matter most to postgrads
