Once submitted, you'll have a few weeks to get 25 students to vote on it. If Students want it to happen, then we'll try to make it happen.

Maybe you'd like more water fountains on campus? or less? Maybe you'd like to lobby for a Skate Park on campus? If you've got an idea, then here is the place where you can discuss, vote and make the change.

Refund/cancel payments for all students not in uni accommodation

Following the new COVID lockdown and regulations as of 04/01/2021, students who are not currently on campus, will not be able to return to the rooms they are paying for. All students who are not on campus, but are currently in contract having to pay rent for their accommodation should either receive refunds for payments already made for the future (including the deposit paid at the beginning of the year) or not have to pay future instalments for the current academic year. If we students are not even on campus to live in the rooms we are paying for, it is literally a waste, as it was not by choice. Students have been told to stay at home by Brunel, unless they are unable to return home, since 4th November 2020. We are paying rent for a room that is again, not being used at all. During the first lockdown of the pandemic in March 2020, Brunel agreed to cancel the final instalments for rent, and the same is being asked again as it is the same situation.

6:06pm on 9 Jan 21 under consumer rights law thousands of students will have a case for refunding/withholding payments! This is especially true for practical based degrees where you are being deprived of essential resources that cannot possibly be delivered online. Lawyer dean Dunham confirmed this.
