What is the Union Citizenship Award?

The Union Citizenship Award (UCA) is a recognition programme that rewards students for active engagement with the Union and their contributions to student life. You are eligible for the UCA award system if you have taken on a role in the SU, such as being a student volunteer or course rep.

Why it exists:

  • Rewards all the work you do.

  • Recognisees all the times where you have gone above and beyond in volunteer roles.

  • Build leadership, communication and teamwork skills – which are valued by employers.

  • Helps you evidence your contributions for employability.
