Digital Community Guidelines
The Union of Brunel Students’ digital communities exist to enable students to connect with others, share ideas, and stay informed about news, opportunities, and events.
We are committed to maintaining respectful, inclusive, and safe spaces for all students. By participating in these communities, you agree to follow these guidelines.
We reserve the right to remove any content that:
- Is likely to disrupt, provoke, attack, or offend others
- Is discriminatory, racist, sexist, homophobic, abusive, sexually explicit, or otherwise inappropriate
- Contains language, imagery, or symbols that may cause offence
- May breach the law or encourage unlawful behaviour
- Promotes products, services, or activity for personal or commercial gain
- Impersonates any individual or organisation
- Is false, misleading, or fraudulent
- Includes personal contact details (such as phone numbers, addresses, or email addresses)
- Is not written in English
- Encourages behaviour that may put the safety or wellbeing of others at risk
- Is considered spam, including repeated or duplicate posts
- Is persistently off-topic within a specific group or discussion
- Encourages users to join external groups or platforms, in order to protect the integrity and safety of our communities
All users are also required to comply with the Union of Brunel Students’ policies and governing documents.
Please be aware that content shared within these communities may be visible to other users. You are responsible for the information you choose to post. We strongly advise against sharing personal or sensitive information and recommend that you review and understand the privacy settings of any platform you use.
These communities are actively monitored; however, moderation is not continuous. The Union of Brunel Students reserves the right to take appropriate action where these guidelines are breached.
